Jinx Salt

To augment the casting of casual baneful magic spells.

This salt is intended for small jinxes and casual cursing. Most baneful spells of this sort can be accomplished with simple words or gestures, but Jinx Salt can give them a little extra punch. Use it for small baneful magics performed at home; carrying a bottle around in case you need to hex somebody can be a bit of a pain.

Add a pinch or two of Jinx Salt to low-level curse jars to give them a particular bite. A bit of the salt pressed into a clay poppet or sealed up in a paper charm works well for short-term hexes or spells to cause the subject minor irritations or bad luck.

For a quick and easy jinx, whisper your intentions to a palmful of Jinx Salt, then scatter it where you know the target will walk. Take care that the subject will be the next person to walk over the area or the jinx could be diluted or dispersed by passersby.

Note: Do not throw Jinx Salt at the subject of your hex or add it to their food or drink. This salt is for indirect magical use only.
