To break or remove baneful magic.

Use in magics intended to break, remove, or otherwise nullify a curse, jinx, hex, ill-wishing, or any baneful magic. This also counters the effects of All-Purpose Cursing Powder, should the need arise.

Use for any spellwork designed to remove or prevent magical harm. The powder works equally well on persons and dwellings, and is generally intended for use on baneful magics with a relatively recent origin. It's most effective within one lunar month of the date that you first notice symptoms of possible baneful influence.

And yes, you can still use it as a precautionary measure if you're not sure. Determining whether you're cursed or not is a difficult and highly subjective business, and sometimes it's best to just take corrective or preventive action and have done with the matter.
